Firewall using proxy application gateway, replace the source address of the transaction within its own IP address. Thus outsiders will only know this address and will not be able to access any other computer in the internet

It disables SQL injections and XSS attacks. It also protects from HTTP protocol violations and cross site scripting.It also prevents bots and crawlers.
